Muda the Zine
ABOUT
We know that fashion has a negative on workers and the environment, but just how bad is that impact? Well, no one really knows. There is a lack of transparency about the impact of fashion (Vox outlines it all here). We do know one thing: more sustainable and ethical fashion will help lessen fashion's negative impact. Our fashion line, Muda New York, models this possibility. But we know that our sustainable practices means our clothing is higher in price than most fast fashion brands. The solution? Muda the Zine.
The goal of Muda the Zine is to increase interest and accessibility to sustainable fashion. We do this by offering low-cost, easy-to-follow sewing patterns for all the clothing pieces produced by Muda New York, our parent brand.
We are looking for talented creatives to submit pieces about environmental activism and/or fashion to Muda the Zine. We accept pieces in three main categories: writing, artwork, and photography.
*Artists will not receive compensation for their submissions. Artists will receive a creator discount for Muda the Zine and Muda New York.
